Can't add more variables to the "Show in catalog task" slushbucket

Greetings~

We have a workflow that is shared by approximately 50 catalog items.   It has worked wonderfully until now but I think I have hit on a snag.   Since so many items share this workflow, there are a ton of variables available to show on the task form.   Obviously, on the individual tasks it only grabs the ones that are from the specific item, but I have recently found that I cannot add any more variables to the right side of the bucket. It will let me highlight them, move them to the right and save.   However, when I go back into the Activity Properties: Catalog Task form, the same variables are still listed in the left pane and the additions do not show on tasks.   Anyone have an idea for getting around this?   I can't be the first one to have a largely shared workflow...

Sad Panda time, I spoke too soon and suffered from a horrible case of not reading correctly.   The system property I put up above increases the number of item you can SELECT from the LEFT side, but does nothing for my issue which is the number of items allowed on the right side.

Back to the drawing board...

It'd gotta be in there somewhere, what about opening a HI ticket to get that increased?
