Can't see Dependent Field

Hello,

  I created a new choice field that needs to depend on the Subcategory field that was already setup.   When I go to the definition page for the new choice field I see the Dependent Field seciton but it says Specify a field whose value is used to determine choice list options for this field and there is not a box for me to enter a dependent name.   I looked at the Wiki and also watched a couple of videos and all 3 sources show that I should be able to enter a field name but it isn't showing up.   I also tried creating two new choice fields and tried to make the second one dependent on the first but the field still didn't show up.   Any ideas?   Thanks!

Hi Tyler,

That looks very odd.

Have you checked to see if the form has been personalised to remove the fields?

You could add them back to the form.

Is it   because I am using business edition?

It would appear so.

I have logged into an instance of the business edition and the fields seem to be missing and unavailable to add to the form even though the business edition wiki does suggest it is possible:

For those who come across this in the future... Try changing the field type to "Choice" and you should see it under the advanced view. I couldn't get it to work when I had the type set to Integer. I was just getting a blue box with no option before making that change. (Istanbul P9)
