Can we restrict the data in a reference field?

Hello All,

 

Can we restrict the data in a reference field without using reference qualifier? I don't want to change the out of box reqerence qualifier.

 

Can we user query business rule or ACL for only that specific field and not for the entire table?

 

E.g. I want to restrict the reports to be scheduled for only reports created by the logged on user i.e. in the Report field of the scheduled report it only shows his/her own reports but when he or she opens report table then he or she should see all reports including the one shared with him/her.

Hi @AnirbanNL ,

What is the issue in updating the conditions in the ootb reference qualifier?

As ACL won't help here and business rule usage will give more scripting and ends up in more customization.
