Can you save attachments in ServiceNow records to SharePoint?

Hi guys,

Can attachments submitted on, e.g. customer logged RITM records, be saved to a SharePoint site, with the relevant link to this SharePoint file then replacing the attached file in SN?

If this is possible, would IntegrationHub provide this solution and/or is this request achievable by other means?

Many thanks in advance!

Hi,

This is possible via Microsoft SharePoint Online Spoke offered by ServiceNow. More details here.

Thanks Pradeep. Out of interest is there a way to do this without having to subscribe to IntegrationHub? Thanks!

I think it is possible https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/orlando-application-development/page/integrate/outbound-rest/conc.... That said, you should default to building your integrations using IntegrationHub. Here are some benefits:

  • Consolidates multiple Now Platform automation capabilities into a single environment so process owners and developers can build and visualize business processes and integrations from a single interface.
  • Extends Flow Designer content to integrate business processes with external systems.
  • Promotes business process automation by enabling subject matter experts to develop and share spokes with flow designers.
  • Provides natural-language-descriptions of integration logic to help non-technical users understand triggers, actions, inputs, and outputs.

In addition to these, the more IH spokes you've built the more valuable IH becomes.

Hi,

Microsoft SharePoint online spoke manages sites, folders, files, groups, lists, and users in Microsoft SharePoint Online. Adds Microsoft SharePoint Online data to your ServiceNow instance.

Check this link:

If my answer helped you in any way mark answer as helpful and correct.

Thanks and regards,

Megha.
