Catalog task UI policies and/or client scripts not behaving the same as request item and catalog item

Hello all,

I've developed a new catalog item which includes several UI policies and client scripts, all of which I've set to "applies on requested item, applies on catalog task, applies on catalog view".

The catalog view and the requested item view of the form behave as expected but the catalog task view of the form is hiding certain variables and I can't see why this is happening.

The client scripts are all set to ALL (both desktop and portal).

Can anyone suggest why this could be?

Many thanks in advance,

Keiron.

Hello,

Yes then just go to the variables of the catalog item and mark the global checkbox as true.

If you do not see the global checkbox just bring it on the form using form layout.

Once you check the global checkbox as true for all the variable for that catalog item it will be visible on task

Hi Saurav,

many thanks for your reply.

Unfortunately the task is created by a 'run script' in the workflow and not by a 'create task' activity.

So all the catalog task variables (as per the UI policies etc.) should be the same as visible on the RITM view of the form.

Any other suggestions are welcome.

Great - that was it !!

I should have remembered as I've had this issue before - but I'm getting old 🙂

Thanks again for your help - all fixed now.
