Catalog tasks changed to "Closed Incomplete" after RITM is set to "Closed Incomplete"

Hello Everyone,

 

I am looking into an issue with my ServiceNow instance which seems to be exhibiting behavior that is not out of the box functionality. When a Request Item generates multiple catalog tasks and some of those tasks are set to the state of "Closed Complete" they will retroactively be changed to the state of "Closed Incomplete" when the associated RITM is set to the state of "Closed Incomplete". I compared this behavior with a freshly spun up PDI and confirmed this is not expected behavior. In a fresh ServiceNow environment, catalog tasks that are set to the state of "Closed Complete" will retain that state value, even if the RITM is set to "Closed Incomplete". I am looking for any suggestions as to why this may be occurring. My assumption is that an out of box business rule has been modified and that is why this behavior is occurring. Any suggestions is much appreciated. Thank you!
