Prior to my time, a CMDB import process was created to auto-import CIs from portal request forms, using templates. I have been asked to create a new CI class and get it working using these existing forms and processes, and I think I have most of that handled, but am running into a couple issues when trying to create the import template.
I know how to right-click on a list of a table to IMPORT and create a template from there. The problem is that when I do this, it is missing a couple things compared to the ones made a few years ago.
First, one of the fields on my list view is being ignored on the import template, and I am not sure why-
Why is my import template missing SUPPORT GROUP? I clicked the use fields shown, not all fields when creating the template.
Secondly, on the previously created templates, there is a dropdown to select groups and users for the required fields-
But on my newly created template, only the choice fields (status, environment) have this, and the groups/users do not-
How do I get those fields populated with the choices like the original templates have?
