change existing field choice list values to new choice list value ?

I have an requirement .. one field having 5 choice list values ( Example . field - primary status - upgrade , inventory ,purchase)  . all these values should be moved to newly created choice list value as (  Newly procure)

 I need to change this new value to all the existing records

(without doing the background script , is there any way to achieve this ?)

There are 10 K + records that needs to change

Hi sukran, 

You can write an OnDemand Scheduled job and execute the Job (this is an alternative to Background script )

It is a strange requirement, you cannot map existing records if you do not want to use scripts.

bad option could be to go to choice list of the field, and change the label of the records to that you want to map accordingly.
