Hello,
I'm currently facing an issue with ServiceNow Discovery for our Fortinet equipment. While the discovery process is working for our FortiGate devices with the Fortinet Core mib file I'm using, I'm struggling to get it to recognize our Fortinet Access Points (APs) using the provided Fortinet AP mib.
At first, after loading the mib file and running Discovery, I was getting "Active, couldn't classify". When I dug into the payload, I could see that the OIDs are actually being pulled. Now, after creating a new SNMP Classification and adding the oids, the APs are being classified but no CI is being created. Even after discovery has finished it remains in the stage "identifying"
What I've Done So Far:
MIB File: I've imported the MIB file for the Fortinet APs, which, according to its text, should support my specific models of AP units.
MID Server: I can confirm the MIB file is present in C:\<MID Server Install Path>\agent\work\mibs. After restarting the MID Server, the log file shows no errors related to MIB loading.
SNMP Classification: I've created a new SNMP classification named "Fortinet Access Point" on the "Wireless Access Point" table. I've also added the OIDs for the Fortinet APs based on their sysObjectID.
Questions:
- Are there additional steps I need to undertake for the Fortinet APs to be properly classified?
- Should the setup described above be sufficient for proper device classification, or have I missed something?
Any insights or recommendations would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

I do not know this area at all well (just starting the SNMP discovery path), but is the data being processed by the IRE and if so - any errors in IRE for these devices?
