Create Record from reference field in workspaces

While navigating workspaces, I noticed a common issue where users had to jump back to the list view to create a record that wasn't available in the reference table. The native environment provides a new button in the dialog box, but fear not, I've found a workaround to elevate your user experience within the workspace.

"Field Decorators" 🔎: These are icons that trigger specific actions when selected next to a field. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to configure them:

1. Type "Field Decorators" in the navigator and open the module under "Action and Components."
2. Create a new record with configurations matching the attached screenshot.

This open a new record page tab within workspace from wherever you can create your record without going back to the list .

Voila! Now you can streamline the process of creating new records directly from reference fields, eliminating the need to navigate back and forth. But wait, there's more! You can customize these decorators to fit your customer's unique requirements. Modify the decorator's application to a specific field on a particular table, change the icon, and much more.

Hi @SaurabhGidwani, did you manage to get the newly created record to auto-populate in the reference field you created the record from?

Hey @SidraA  Sorry at that time it wasn't possible to do so. I tried few ways but couldn't. Reached out to ServiceNow HI Support and even they couldn't confirm on this.
