Creating a Default Flow for catalog items

Hello Team:

 

I'm not new to ServiceNow but I am using flow's instead of Workflows.

 

I've been tasked to create a "Generic" flow for 90% of our Catalog Items.  Seems easy enough.

I've build 2.   One for most catalog items and then copied this for Integrationhub automation. 

These flows also include decision tables where I:

1. Preset RITM Field values for that cat item

2. Preset approvals (manager, item owner, Group approval 1, Group approval 2)

3. Preset AD Group automation (may add additional results, TBD).

 

Up to earlier this week, everything was going fine, Until I push to production and the first two decision tables failed.

So i rebuilt them in PROD, then cloned back to my dev environment.

 

No my main default flow can't be found, I deleted it and created a new one.  But it has issues with "Get Catalog Variables" action.  Testing show no returned values but the RITM has them.

 

Here is my flow (also used in the automation one).  As you can see, I have it triggered to the Trigger ritm record, but I'm getting the Variable Set variables as opposed to the specific catalog item (which include the variable set).

As i indicated, generic flow will not get the variable values, where as the Generic automation one will.

 

What have i done?   Am i setting myself for disaster?
