I'd like to use the tools of the portal designer, to create a new homepage (instead of using jelly/cms type tools). Is this possible? If so, how?
Thanks!

Hi Shane,
This should be straight forward...
- Navigate to
https://<yourinstance>.service-now.com/sp_config
- Click on Designer and choose Add new page
- Customize the layout as you like
- Go back to
https://<yourinstance>.service-now.com/sp_config
- Click pages
- Select your page and customize further
- Go back to
https://<yourinstance>.service-now.com/sp_config
- Click portal
- Under Homepage, Choose the page you want to set as your home page in portal
You can use the built in editors to do any changes etc.
[Edit]Pls also see
Create a page using the Service Portal Designer
Hope this helps.

Thanks for this, however, I mean to use it as a normal homepage within ServiceNow, not in the Portal system. Similar to how we can currently create homepages for users in ServiceNow, I'd like to create a page with the Portal Designer and then go to that page within the backend (non Service Portal) end of ServiceNow.
I can do this by going to /nav_to.do?uri=sp (the service portal page), but the typical service portal header loads up in the iframe - I don't want the header, just the page contents.

Hi Shane,
I understand your question now.. I 'm not sure if that is possible as Service portal is a a separate app.

Is there a way to make a portal page without a header? If so, I could use it as an iframe/nav page target within the backend of ServiceNow.
