Creating a report that shows the number of incidents currently open on the 1st of each month.

Hello all.

Looking for some guidance on how to create a monthly report that shows the number of incidents as of the 1st of each month.  Not just incidents that are opened each month.  These are incidents that could be lagging and could carry over into the following months (Yes, I know, truly scary sometimes).

One incident could be opened in January but still be open and active in February.

For example...  January 1st - there were 200 incidents still open and active.  February 1st - there were 175 incidents still open and active.  March 1st - there were 300 incidents still open and active.

Your assistance is massively appreciated.

I think this is easily doable. You can add a condition for 'Last Month.'

Create a report with the trend type, like below:

Add a condition where the state is not 'Closed,' 'Resolved,' or 'Cancelled.
