Hello all, I have a requirement where I have to add some custom fields for a SAFe Scrum Task that is automatically created upon creation of a story. Is it safe to add some custom fields to the scrum task table? I plan on using a UI Policy that will unhide these fields if the user chooses "Testing" as its type. Please let me know if this is okay or if there's any other recommendations to do this. Thanks!

Adding or creating custom fields is not the issue, but it is considered a customization, which may incur additional costs. So, first, check if there are any out-of-the-box fields we can use for this purpose. If not, then determine which task table (task, story, or other tables) works best for this task, and only then create the custom field.

Hello thank you for the advice. I am using the SAFe Scrum Task for this. I have a requirement to add fields like this. Would adding these custom fields cause additional costs. Also would it cause any technical debt?
Example:
- Test Case ID and Name
- Preconditions
- Test Steps and expected results for each step.
- Final expected results: (at the end of the test run).
- Actual Results: (to be added after executing the test).

For the cost, you can refer to the link I shared earlier. Additionally, you can speak with your SN Account Manager. As for technical debt, yes, you will need to maintain it over time.
