Custom subflow to Fire Event

Hi,

Trying to create a subflow that accepts a group name, Event Name and Record.

The Event Name input is a string.

But the "Fire Event" reports Event name is blank or similar.

If you hard code the event name it works fine.  But that makes a subflow kind of pointless.

I have seen articles say you need to make the input a reference filed to the "sysevent_register" table.  But this isn't an option for me?  (This is a scoped application).

Has anyone made this work?

Thanks...Gary

@Gary Fawcett1 The input type is string, so you mean to say you dont see a reference option to select instead of input?

Also are you creating subflow beacuse you want to make it a reusable kind of thing? Because just for triggering event you dont need a subflow.

Yes I see a reference option, but not the sysevent_register table.  Where the events are registered.

Looking at old posts, this used to work with that table. But I can't see it in my scoped application 😞

Thanks...Gary

@Gary Fawcett1 It shouldn’t be the case, events are created in scoped apps as well, will check in my PDI.

Can you mention your scope and current ServiceNow version?
