Customize layout for a single Problem record export/PDF

Currently when on a single Problem record in fulfiller view, the export option provides all details in a "canned" layout for the exported PDF report. How can the layout be altered and can fields to be included and fields to be excluded also be customized for the export? Is there a different or better way to generate a custom report on a single Problem than by using the export feature?

This is not exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate the suggestion. I am truly looking for a way to choose which fields, format, etc from a single record and place the data from those fields into a template that generates a professional looking document that can be sent to customer. Generally, reports seem to be on groups of records. I want to take a single Problem or Incident record, using the data from that record, and populate a professional looking stand alone document that narrates a story of the record with the data from within the record. Would like to output the report to PDF, Word Doc, etc.
