Dashboard Printer friendly option giving 414 error for some users

Hello Community,

On the PA Dashboards, there is an option named "Printer friendly". On click of which it opens the dashboard in a printable view which can be used to print the dashboard.

In the article says, user with any role can print the dashboard if the user has the role to view the dashboard.

But the issue that I am facing is, for some of the users, on click of the printer friendly button, it tries to open the page in new window but the url returns an error as below. 

414 Request-URI Too Large

As I understand, this is because the URL is too long than what the browser is expecting, but from where this can be controlled for this button. what could be the probable reason for this and how this can be fixed. where can I find the functionality for this.
