Data lookup module based on script functionality

I have a script include and client script that display a value below the caller's local area support group to help route tickets. Is there a way to create a module that could perform the same functionality? Like for example, I put in a user's username and then it display the same field without having to open up a new ticket? I wouldn't need to be creating any new records. It would just be a simply lookup function for the help desk.

@rick5050- Yep! This was the route that I took. I wasn't aware of the UI Pages and Jelly Scripting til over the weekend. Learned something new and was able to create the lookup functionality. Appreciate your thoughts on my question as well, and laying out all the steps. Hope you have a good rest of the week.
