Data Security Filter: remove HR Cases where the accessing user equals subject person

Hi,
we are trying to achieve the following:
When a user with sn_hr_core.basic role is accessing HR Agent Workspace, he should not be able to see the cases where he is the subject person.
Can we build this with a data security filter or does it need a query BR or even ACLs?
For data security filter I didn't find anything dynamic checking for the logged in user.
Also in portal the user should still see the cases, but not in HR Agent Workspace. Not sure if having the Application as Agent Workspace for Case Management in data security filter will be enough to achieve that
