Experts.
Tell us about it.
I found a variable in the variable table that was not tied to a catalog item or a variable set.
I think the variable was probably created in the past and was tied to a variable set that I deleted.
I'm afraid I'm going to get an error when I apply the update set to other instances, so I'm going to have to delete the record for the variable in question.
Is this a problem?
Best regards.

Hi @M_Tomy,
The error might be due to, it is not tagged with any variable sets. make sue to captured tagged variables with variable sets and then delete it in another update sets.
I would not recommended to delete variable, instead of that you can mark it as inactive.
Thanks,

Hello M_Tomy ,
-As your variable is not tagged with any variable set you are getting an error.
-Deleting is not a best practice in ServiceNow, make that variable inactive.
Thank you
