Developer Instance went offline

My developer instance unexpectedly went offline while I was actively working. I'm hoping someone in the community can offer advice on how to restore its contents. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated

Hi @wilsonpaulraj

Here are some points to consider:

  1. There is no support available for PDI.
  2. If you can wait, let's wait a bit longer.
  3. You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.

There have been 3-4 posts in the community today about PDI failures or unavailability. Based on the responses, you might need to wait 1-2 days and hopefully, the PDI will be back online.

Hi @wilsonpaulraj,

mine is down for last hour as well, the only thing what we can do is to wait :))

it is due to ServiceNow maintenance...

Hello @wilsonpaulraj

There is no real time support over PDI, so if it's really hampering your work or anything to learn on PDI then let existing one go and request a new one. Also, wait time for existing time is not fixed so if you want to wait you can and once it's up you will get email from ServiceNow that instance is up and running.

Also, learning tip always take backup from PDI so your work done is not lost.

If my response has helped you hit helpful button and if your concern is solved do mark my response as correct.

Thanks & Regards
Viraj Hudlikar.

Better wait for 1-2 days, also from next time please take the daily back up

Backup and restore you PDI data using GITHUB

FYI, earlier Backup and restore feature was available for PDI's which is disccontinued since 15 DEC 2022

Link to that Post- https://developer.servicenow.com/blog.do?p=/post/update-to-restore-on-pdis/

However, there is a way to Backup your PDI Data using GITHUB

Please go through this URL for detailed explanation - https://developer.servicenow.com/blog.do?p=/post/backup-your-pdi/

Hello @Viraj Hudlikar @Dr Atul G- LNG @GlideFather

Thankyou for the responses.

I was working on an application and was about to finish it. I guess I have to redo it from scratch from another instance while waiting🙃.
