Hello,
I am very grateful for the opportunity to start applying ServiceNow to benefit of the people I support.
The question I would like to ask regards developer vs. implementer roles. I had been led toward a role with ServiceNow referenced as "implementer."
I have been trying to understand how an implementer and different from a developer, but now, I see in this community there is no reference to the implementer role. Has that role been eliminated?

Hi @EKostenko
I will share my personal view here, beginning as a ServiceNow trainer, I think every other role in SN inherits the implementing role, whether it is a developer Architect Platform owner or BPC. Bcz implementer means who knows the platform and who knows how to use the platform or knows how to build and enhance the platform. i.e. reason if you see all certs are CIS - Certified Impleanetion Specalits, means by doing this course you understand how this module has been built or use or enhanced. Hope I can clear some of your doubts.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

Practically speaking, at your level of experience, almost nothing.
The word Developer in our space could mean two things:
1) Pro code developer: Someone who was a developer before their journey with ServiceNow
2) Someone who builds apps on ServiceNow... which can mean a WIDE range from barely any javascript knowledge all the way up to (1)
An implementer is someone who deploys servicenow processes or tech. While there's lots of emphasis on knowing how ServiceNow works for a given module, most of the time the implementor will have to know the platform in a build capacity to be a good implementor anyway.
The distinction simply doesn't matter at the start of your career.

For what its worth, here's an episode of the CJ&TheDuke podcast talking about hte implementer role specifically.
Don't take my word for it (The Duke)... ServiceNow put this on their career path for implementer on Now Learning.
