Development Instance stuck in hibernating, won't wake up

This has been going for a few days now, where I have a PDI that appears to be stuck hibernating.  After two attempts to wake it up, I get the attached screenshot.  The report link does nothing as the resulting URL is : https://developer.servicenow.com/dev.do#

I've also tried to refresh the instance, but this didn't seem to have an effect.

Not entirely certain what has happened here, I just couldn't get back in one morning.

Hi @benjamincra

PDIs are not supported by ServiceNow. If your PDI is stuck on hibernation, the only possible way out is to release the instance and request a new one.

Hi @benjamincra ,I experienced the same issue. But, one/two day later, I received an email confirming that the PDI was available again. Since we don’t have any support for PDI, waiting for a day or two would be a good option.

Or if you don't have any serious development updates in your PDI, you can release the current PDI and get a new one.

Hi @benjamincra

I've been using PDI without any issues since this morning, but I've noticed several posts in the community about PDI being offline. Here are some points to consider:

  1. There is no support available for PDI.
  2. If you can wait, let's wait a bit longer.
  3. You can release this instance and start a new one, but you will lose your previous data. To avoid losing update sets in the future, make sure to take regular backups of your PDI.

There have been 3-4 posts in the community today about PDI failures or unavailability. Based on the responses, you might need to wait 1-2 days and hopefully, the PDI will be back online.

Hi @benjamincra

As you might know, there are no support available from ServiceNow in relation to PDIs, hence your are left with two options:

  1. Wait, it should come online again
  2. If you get tired of waiting, release your instance and request a fresh installation. Please note, all your development which haven't been backed up will be lost for good.
