I'm trying to add a dictionary override on the assignment group field on task table in the global scope however there is no new or edit button showing on the related list.
I have looked in list control and searched for dictionary and found sys_dictionary table however neither of the tick boxes Omit New and Omit Edit are ticked on the five entries we have.
Any ideas please?

Do you have admin role?
You can add dictionary overrides only on tables that are in the same scope as the dictionary override.

I do have Admin role and thanks for the input I am aware that I can only add overrides on tables in the same scope however missing the new button is a bit of a problem.

Thanks for the update, is that New Button is not visible only when you are trying to create a new dictionary override or for all related lists? Please check if there is any issue with NEW UI action which is related to Related List on Global table?

Hi Angus,
Did you check for admin role to your user profile.
Also check for the ACL.
Mark Correct if this solves your issue and also hit Like and Helpful if you find my response worthy based on the impact.
Thanks
