Hello All,
We are facing an issue with our Midserver. Although the status of the server shows as UP whenever we try to test connection to the OU we get the following error Did not get a response from the MID server after waiting for 55 seconds.
We have also observed these logs. Is it recommended to upgrade the server manually? Should it be restarted? Please point me towards the correct direction to get this fixed.
Best Regards,
Urmilla

Hi Urmilla,
According to the information above, it says that the package upgrade cannot be downloaded to update the MID server.
Did you try to ping your server or taking remote?
If you have any scheduled imports with MID server , does it go well?
Try a restart first.
Thanks,
Vinitha.K

Hi Vinitha,
Thanks for your quick response.
Yes the scheduled loads run, I have observed this issue intermittently.
Have not tried to restart yet but can do that.
Any idea why the package upgrade is not being downloaded and if this could cause connectivity issue.
Thanks,
Urmilla

Have not tried to restart yet but can do that. — PLEASE TRY THIS FIRST.
At times, MID server may hang up processing multiple requests.
You can check for any processing request here - https://INSTANCENAME.service-now.com/ecc_queue_list.do?sysparm_query=topicLIKEcancel
https://docs.servicenow.com/bundle/helsinki-it-operations-management/page/product/mid-server/reference/r_MIDServerDebugParameters.html
Any idea why the package upgrade is not being downloaded and if this could cause connectivity issue. — I will let you know on this and both are not interconnected.
Thanks,
Vinitha.K

Restarting the midserver along with checking role of the midserver user fixed issue. The following link helped me debug this. Thanks
