Difference between MIM module, Incident alert management and Incident Communication Management

i would like to understand the difference between MIM, incident alert and incident communication module.

Incident alert management involves the process of generating an alert when a major incident occurs.

Incident communication management involves the process of how this alert which we generated is communicated, it involves bringing together the people that are required to resolve the incident in the fastest method possible.

MIM Module is a plugin that needs to be activated, its an application provided by servicenow where we can customize how we manage major incidents. The above two are part of MIM.
