Difference between Validate application and scan application

Hi Everyone,

I have one doubt regarding difference between validate application and scan application. Basically, what does both functionalities do and what are the differences between them, benefits of both functionality over each other.

Please help me in finding answers to above questions.

I believe both do more or less the same thing Validation/Scan application gives you option for additional checks, will tell if any component in your app is not as per best practices
