Discovery fails at identification phase due to no match found based on Serial Number and Type

I'm facing an issue where BIOS, Baseboard, System serial number present in CMDB matches with Serial Number coming in discovery payload but IRE engine do not find match based on Hardware Rule having criteria attributes as 'serial_number,serial_number_type'

Chassis serial number in CMDB do not match with Discovery payload, does it mean it checks only Chassis Serial Number Type during IRE and ignores other types?

I couldn't find any documentation around this, i was under impression discovery would try to find match based on all Serial Number Types listed in Serial Number table but clearly that's not the case.

Does anyone know about this how IRE engine evaluates Serial Number and Serial Number Types?

IRE works with matching the attributes as priority given, so make serial number and serial number type as highest priority.

? what error you are facing in this phase.

I understand how IRE works based on priority. My question here is on Serial Number and Serial Number Type, we get different types of serial numbers so how discovery evaluates SN and SN Type, does it try to match all or even if one of the serial number matches it updates CIs?

Like lets say we got 4 different types of serial numbers for a CI, so IRE rule will match all or even if one of the type matches it updates CI.
