Do SAM plugins installs new patterns for discovery?

When we install SAM plugins for software discovery, are there some specific "Patterns" or "Probes" also installed along with it.

if yes, then if there is any specific pattern for discovering License Type.

Yes, there are extra patterns (Count: 7) and probes (Count: 34) installed with SAM Pro Plugin.
