Domain separation - user assignment

Hello everyone,

Maybe someone encountered this issue regarding a domain separated instance. Please see below my current setup :

We have a couple of users that are working on multiple clients that are stored in MSP users as seen.

MSP Users Domain Contains both Client A and client B .

The problem we encountered is assigning tickets from client A or B to users that are from MSP users even though MSP users domain contains both.

Domain visibility is also not an option since it will mix the data in the reference fields.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Hi,

Try this:

- Remove "contains" in the current MSP domain

- Add a new User type domain under this MSP domain

- Modify Client A and B domains to add Contains for the new User domain

Hello ,

I have tried that and if i give to Client A and B contain domain MSP child it will display only MSP child records and i cant switch between domains.(user is in MSP Child which is now customer type domain)

However if Client A and B contain MSP child and also contained by MSP child is somehow working but even if i switch between domains i get mixed info in the records for example in an incident list i get Client A and B records and also in the reference fields i get values from both clients.

Any ideas?

Hi,

In my idea here up,  the MSP child domain is a User domain, not a Customer one, so associated with a non customer company and you would not be able to create any task record with that user company/domain.

Client A and B can work with their own domain tasks and since they contain the User domain, they can see these users if they need them in the "Assigned to" field of their tasks.

The MSP or the child User domain must not contain A and B.

Support users must be in a "User" company and then be associated to the User domain.

Support groups must be a "User" company and then be associated to the User domain.

Make sure only the Customer companies (A, B) are selectable when you create a task ticket, so their domain will be either A or B.

Not sure i follow the "User" company and domain type? is there any documentation regarding this?

When creating a domain those are the only options:
