Easy import doesn't import

I'm creating a table for use in a multivalue list (similar to the Watch list field). I've created the table and given it the single field of 'LU Strategy theme'. I then followed the Easy import instructions at Easy Import - ServiceNow Wiki. I added the values into the Excel document and uploaded the file back into ServiceNow. It validates successfully and i click 'Complete Import'... and then it returns me to the Table's list view with no entries showing in it. I've tried it several times with the same result.

It does appear to create a second table titled 'Imp Tmpl U Lu Strategy Theme' where the new records are showing, but they're not in the intended table. Is there an extra step i'm missing? The Easy Import page doesn't seem to mention one.

(The directions of the excel file state i don't have to include all fields, but does this include number/sysID?)

(Just to note,   this import is more of a test import, hence why it only has four entries. I'm setting this up for an import with about 500 entries)

Everything looks fine and since it's a new table, there shouldn't be anything that is forcing 'other' values. Did you glance at the System Log> Otherwise I'd open a HI ticket.

We just experienced a similar problem.   Turns out if youhave a table name with more than 19 characters it doesnt create the import table properly.   However, your table name appears to be 19 characters.   So I'm not sure.   Maybe try it on another table?   The workaround was literally to make a new table that was shorter in name.

PRB631109 - Easy Importing into table whose table name length is greater than 19 characters results in error: "Unable to read entire header; 0 bytes read; expected 512 bytes"
