Editing Closed Request Fields as Admin

Hello Everyone,

I have an excel sheet of records data, and as an admin on Prod instance I want to be able to edit closed complete request fields which are read only  to match with the excel I have, how do I do this in the best way with minimal manual work?

All the answers provided are correct and relevant, but have you considered the process implications?

From a process and governance perspective, modifying a closed record—in this case, a Request—is not recommended. The request has already been raised by the user and subsequently closed. Changing any information in the closed record without the user's involvement could violate established process and audit requirements.

What has been done has been done, but we should avoid making further changes to closed Requests. Maintaining the integrity of these records is essential for auditability and process compliance.

If you want to follow the same process for a new requirement, please raise a new Request and proceed accordingly. However, do not modify the existing closed Request, as doing so could create process and audit compliance issues.
