Email Notification From Field not an email will it still send?

Hi,

We have this requirement to make the from in the notification to be configured.

In this sample i have configured it with only the display name without an email. But there is an OOB client script that will show an error field message. 

Will it still display "From Test" in the actual email. 

We can check in the email logs but not sure in the actual email.

I couldn't test this in Personal Developer Instance as Email sending/receiving is now disabled.

let me know if anyone encounters the same scenario and does it work or not.

Not sure, but if i understood,

you want to show the full email address in Actual email but in form you want to show only Text. As per my knowledge it will display only Name not the email id.

Yes we only want "From Test" in the notification. 

But it will show an error field message since its not a valid email.

As per documentation we can put something like this in the from field:

Service Desk <ServiceDesk@mycompany.com>

Then it is expected behaviour , means we cant put only text in the from filed, we need to put full email address only.
