Email notification on project task

I have Activated this OOTB Project Task notification but notification not triggering while project task state changes or assigned to changes. Is there anything need to configure.

Verify User Preferences once:
- Check if recipients have valid email or not
- The recipient user must have "Email Notifications" enabled in their profile.
- Navigate to User Preferences and ensure the email setting is active.

Multiple thoughts on this, so carefully check each part. Practically looks like a minor configuration but checking points are withered. Also, create new tasks as well or test with old tasks as well.

Hi Atul, I see there is 2 hours delay in notification sending from system. Tried to change the weight value but no luck

Hi Atul,
I see in event log notification_engine.process event in ready state not being processes from 2 hours.
Can you please help me how to fix this
