Emergency change is closed without approval when click on close button asking close code and notes.

Hi Team,

Need your help, Emergency change is closing without change is approved. Once we click the "close" UI button it's asking close notes and close code once we given close note and close code if we click again on "Close" button change is  moving to "Review" state, if we save the form change is moving to "Closed" state even if approval is pending. Please help me how to restrict this. Seems UI action and work flow working fine, but when we save the form change is closing.

Hi, I don't see this behavior in an OOB PDI (tokyo-07-08-2022__patch4a-01-03-2023_01-11-2023_0813) and an emergency change that is in a state of 'authorize' has no 'close' button.
Without clear and specific details of your configuration it's not easy to evaluate your issue, also SNC make frequent changes\improvements to OOB solutions like Change Request so it could just be that my PDI is running a different version of change.
Is your instance customized, custom close button conditions, custom flow or workflow, custom state model?

Perhaps you could provide details of your configuration and diagnosis so that the forum is in a better position to understand you configuration\issue and assist.

@Hemagiri B The close button will be visible when you are in Review state. Without the approval its not possible to reach Review state.

So how you are reaching to Review state without approval?

@jaheerhattiwale Thanks for the reply seems here it's allowing implementation without approval. Once we click the request for approval we are able to see "Implement" button also and it's allowing the implementation. Once the implementation done without approval trying to close the change that time it's change moving to "Review" state but with form right click save option directly moved to "Closed" state.

@Hemagiri B That might be because there are no approvers to approve the change. Please check in Approvers related list. Is there any approvers present.
