Exploring AI-Driven CSDM Model Prediction (Minimum Manual Effort)

Hi Community,

I am exploring a hypothesis around predicting and structuring an organization’s CSDM model (Business Applications, Business Services, Application Services, Technical Services, etc.) using AI.

I understand that CSDM alignment is not fully discoverable or automated today. However, my goal is to:

  • Use AI/ML to analyze existing data patterns

  • Automatically suggest CSDM aligned relationships and classifications

  • Keep human involvement limited to validation and refinement of the generated model

I would love to get insights on if anyone has tried it or can help in thought process..

  1. Which ServiceNow tables/data sources would be most valuable for training or pattern detection?
(e.g., CMDB tables, Discovery data, Service Mapping, Incident/Change history, APM, etc.)

  2. Are there recommended internal data source(relationships, CI attributes, tags, naming patterns, dependency maps) that could help infer:

    • Business Application <->Business Service mapping

    • Application Service <-> Technical Service hierarchy

    • Service ownership and lifecycle context
