Export list as Excel with formatting

Hi All, 

I have a requirement for exporting records to excel in a formatted matter , where headers are filled with colour and have some other formatting as well. Just wondering if this is possible ? What approach should be followed. Any inputs would be helpful.

If by formatting you mean in a presentable manner, you can use a report to present the data. You can even schedule it for automation.
