Export record to csv to sftp when a request item is submitted

Hi all,

 

I have a request to immediately create an export file (csv) and send it to sftp (external) site for order fulfillment when a user approves a request item.

 

I don't know where to start... can you please point me in the right direction?  Most of the videos I have seen are exporting bulk data.  I need to create an export (1) file per record.
