Hello,
I have successfully created a "Web service access only" user in our Developer instance and now I am planning to move this user from Dev to QA using the export XML and import XML method. My query is regarding the user's password during this migration process. Will the password remain the same in the QA environment, or will I need to reset it once the user is imported into QA?
Could someone help me on this

My knowledge say password will be same and no need to reset. BUt I can suggest, mirgare1 user and test it to verify.

Hi there,
Atul is correct, the user password will stay the same. You could even import it into your PDI 🤣
Depending on your company regulations, you could use different passwords on all your instances and add a Data Preserver so that these user records a kept while performing a System Clone.

By moving the xml, the same date will be transferred. No problem or not required to change the password.

Hi @anvitha ash.
Since you are exporting the XML for the user record, once you import it into any other instance, the password will remain the same as it was in the previous instance.
