I'm familiar with OCM (Organizational Change Management), but could someone provide further clarification on its specifics? Additionally, I'm curious about the involvement of a ServiceNow Developer in OCM. Does the client need to hire additional resources for OCM, or is the ServiceNow Developer responsible for designing or implementing OCM strategies?
It's worth mentioning that I have access to all the resources provided by ServiceNow (https://www.servicenow.com/success/playbook/change-management-plan-guide.html#resources).
Thank you in advance.

Organizational Change Management (OCM) is a framework for managing the effect of new business processes, changes in organizational structure, or cultural changes within an enterprise. In the context of ServiceNow, OCM often refers to the process of managing changes to the ServiceNow platform, such as new applications, modules, or functionalities.
Here are some key points about OCM and the role of a ServiceNow Developer:
- OCM is primarily a business strategy, focusing on helping employees to accept and embrace changes in their current business environment. It involves preparing, supporting, and helping individuals, teams, and organizations in making organizational change.
- The ServiceNow Developer's role in OCM is typically limited to the technical aspects of implementing changes in the ServiceNow platform. They may be involved in developing new applications, configuring existing ones, or migrating data, among other tasks.
- While the ServiceNow Developer can provide technical support for OCM, they are not typically responsible for designing or implementing OCM strategies. This is usually the role of business analysts, project managers, or dedicated OCM professionals.
- The client may need to hire additional resources for OCM depending on the scale and complexity of the change. These resources could include OCM consultants, trainers, or communication specialists.
- ServiceNow provides a variety of resources to support OCM, including best practices, guides, and templates. These resources can be used by the client's OCM team to design and implement their change management strategy.
- ServiceNow's OCM resources include the Change Management Plan Guide, which provides a step-by-step process for managing change, and the Change Management Workbook, which provides a template for creating a comprehensive change management plan.
- ServiceNow also offers a Change Management application as part of its IT Service Management suite. This application provides a systematic approach to controlling the life cycle of all changes, facilitating beneficial changes to be made with minimum disruption to IT services.

Thank you, Rajdeep, for your response.
While it provided some insights into my query, I'm still seeking further information to better understand the topic.

Hi @Sahil Khan1
Let me share my thoughts here
I'm familiar with OCM (Organizational Change Management), but could someone provide further clarification on its specifics? Additionally, I'm curious about the involvement of a ServiceNow Developer in OCM.
Atul: As per me every resource is equally important in OCM journey the reason begin , some time customer demand a technical thoughts or some time a process thoughts. Process thoughts still handled by OCM but technical we need a developer. It can be 2-3% need of a dev but it is requeued if customer demands.
Does the client need to hire additional resources for OCM, or is the ServiceNow Developer responsible for designing or implementing OCM strategies?
Atul: It depends, in my previous account , we have specific role of OCM and I as BA / BPC support for discussion and agreements.
If my response proves useful, please indicate its helpfulness by selecting " Accept as Solution" and " Helpful." This action benefits both the community and me.

Thank you, Atul, for sharing your experience. However, could you please elaborate further? We are aware that every resource should adapt to OCM. For example, if the client wants to conduct an assessment on OCM, would this task be handled by a developer or a business analyst? Additionally, could you provide more points to enhance my understanding of this topic?
Thank you in advance.
