Extracting Data in Excel Format using a script

Hi,

We have a requirement to extract data in excel format using a script. I have already tried glidesysattachment, flow designer and some other things and nothing seems to work. CSV is pretty easy but the ask is to generate a xls or xlsx document. Does anyone know if this is possible within ServiceNow ?

Thanks for your response. However, I've already tried that script on the link you shared. It gives results in CSV not xls or xlsx.
