Get request number from catalog task

I have a requirement to write a code to print task number of catalog request .

should I use flow designer for it or I should write script.

What is your use case here? Need a lot more details to suggest a course of action, as you can do that with both depending on the use case. Where does it need to be printed?

It seems rather a weird requirement if it is just 'write code to print task number'.
Please explain your use case. Where do you need to print it and why. What are you looking for? What is the real requirement (know that if you get the requirement 'write code' it's not a requirement, it's some one trying to tell you how to do your job, while your job is to create functionality in the best possible way. It's up to you to decide how.
