Guidance Needed for Deploying Customizations in CSM Configurable Workspace

Hello everyone,

I have installed the CSM and FSM Configurable Workspace plugin and made several customizations to the workspace using UI Builder — including page modifications and the addition of custom components, all within the same application scope.

Now, I would like to publish or deploy these changes to other environments such as Test and Production.

Could someone please explain the recommended approach for:

  • Deploying customizations made in CSM Configurable Workspace?

  • Managing the development and deployment process for such changes?

Any best practices or documentation references would also be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

As a plugin? You mean from the store? Then you need to become a ServiceNow build partner.

Yes, I am planning to become ServiceNow build partner. But before that I want to make sure that customization to existing plugin and publishing it as separate plugin on top of it possible in ServiceNow.

If you build an application for the Store, you publish it all at once, as one app. You can replicate that by publishing to your repository from the app record. That's the same process as publishing it to the store (only then there will be a certification process before it is in the store).
So you will need to publish it to your repository and from there, install it on another instance.
Unclear what kind of instance you are using and if this is even possible.

I have the POC instance shared by ServiceNow. Where I see the error below. I wanted to check after enabling Publish feature will it work the same way I was asking?

If you have an instance from ServiceNow, contact them, because something is disabled there.
