I accidentally clicked on something that caused the approval record in the RITM to be highlighted in yellow. Could someone please suggest how to remove the highlight? Thank you

From the personalize list, you can uncheck the modern cell coloring option.

As a clarification, unchecking this box will result in the highlighting of the Approval State field, in this case
while checking the box will remove the highlight, using a field style decoration of a colored icon in its place
