Help with Employee Form listing choices for the Question - Gender ( Reference field to User table)

I configured a HR Task of Type "Collect Employee Input".

This task has an "Employee form",  a  questionnaire with two questions -

Q1) Gender ( Datatype = Choice) 2) Previously Retired (Datatype = Y/N) It looks like this:

when I bring up the form, the choices - M/F/Not Specified ( HR Profile's Gender field is a reference type to User table) aren't listed. I verified the read ACL on the Gender field and it looks good for the Role Required. Any ideas why the Choices aren't showing up?

Thanks,

Vijaya

Hi @VijayaC

you can fix via two way :-

Option 1 – Add Choice List to the Question

  • Open your Employee Form > Questions > Gender.

  • Set Type = Choice.

  • Manually add the choice options:

    • M → Male

    • F → Female

    • Not Specified → Not Specified

These will now appear in the Employee Form.

Option 2 – Map Reference Field (More Dynamic, but Customization Needed)
If you want the Employee Form to pull values directly from the HR Profile gender reference:

  • Change the Question type = Reference.

  • Set Reference table = sys_choice (or whichever table contains M/F/Not Specified).

  • (Optional) Add a Reference qualifier so it only shows Gender-related choices.
