I've spent the better part of this week banging my head against the wall and it's time to ask for help.
My goal is simple, or so I thought. I would like a button called "On Hold" in the SIR Workspace (and ideally UI 16 view as well) where clicking on it pops up a dialog window asking them to put in a reason. Clicking on submit would then set the State and add their reason to the work notes.
This has taken me down so many rabbit holes my head is spinning. It seems like the best option is a Declarative Action, but man these are highly confusing and it seems they have changed significantly over the years, so a lot of the videos and tutorials don't seem to line up.
I'd greatly appreciate any help in figuring out how to make this work. I'm more of a backend guy, so I already struggle with things like Client Side vs Server Side scripting. I'm pretty sure this needs to be client side so we can present a modal to the user, but I just can't get things to work.
