In my personal instance i have created a HTML variable in Service catalog item.After creating it i check the item but the HTML variable is not working.It showing HTML link in the text editor & even the link is not triggering the URL.Please find below and let me know what needs to be done to fix this.

Thanks to the quick response.Now the link working but still the text editor is there rather than link alone.Can you plz let me know how to fix

Is your is to just have URL/ link on a field?If yes, then you can try using UI macro.
Link within a service catalog variable
Just for your information we have URL type variable starting from Istanbul.
