Hide KB articles in draft and review state from portal

I have  a requirement where I need to hide KB articles in draft and review state from portal. I checked and modified the available system properties but KB articles are still visible on the portal. Can we do it using query business rule or an ACL would be more helpful ? Also how to configure them ?

Did you get a resolution for this issue? i am facing the same issue and the system properties dont seem to be working as-expected.

I am facing a similar issue and it looks like if you can contribute to the article/knowledge base it lets you see all versions of the article in the knowledge portal regardless of the property settings.

Has anyone found a resolution to this? Right now all users can see an knowledge article in DRAFT, as well as real time edits if saved.
