Dear All,
Hope you are safe and doing well !!!
While working on Service Portal, I observed that the homepage search option on default Service Portal page of our company's SN instance does not return any search results from the knowledge base. Search returns results only from 'Service Catalog' and 'Questions and Answers' as shown below:
-> Search for a keyword 'printer' and press enter:
'
As highlighted in red, search does not return results from Knowledge Base.
However, when I executed the same Use Case in my personal developer instance, search returns results from Knowledge Base as well.
As shown in the screenshot, search has returned results from 'Knowledge bases' as well in addition to 'Catalogs' and 'Questions and Answers'.
Now, I will like to add 'Knowledge Bases' in the sources of my organization's instance as well. I would be grateful if someone can guide me how can I do so.
Thanks & Regards,
Gulzar Manuja

Hi Matthew,
Greetings !!!
Thanks a lot for your response. I tried the solution suggested by you and it worked like a charm. However, I do have a couple of questions regarding default Service Portal page.
Do you think it will be okay if I ask those questions on this thread and then mark your reply as correct or I should mark your answer as correct and open a new thread for those questions ?
Will await your response.
Thanks & Regards,
Gulzar Manuja

Hi Gulzar
I think it would be best to mark this as solved and post a new thread - which will be viewed by many more people than just me 🙂
