Dears , Apparently my issue was fixed by only service now when i raised it through the high portal .

the solution proposed first was this but it didnt work with me it seems that because i have clone history and i cant delete it from my side so they had to do it from there side to delete all the history , also for me it is showing that my dev have the access for admin but they said for them it is not showing the role so they had to make the changes for me .

Make sure that requesting user has the clone_admin or soap_script roles on source and target instance. Note that if the user has the admin and security_admin role, the user might not have the clone_admin or soap_script role so check for these roles explicitly.
- Set the system property glide.soap.require_ws_security to false.
- If user has all the correct roles and the system property is set to false but the issue still occurs, try clearing the browser cache and then requesting clone again.
- This solution is documented in KB0681148

I hope it's helpful for you. On the basis of the information provided, I would be moving this incident to 'Solution Proposed', but don't worry as it is still open.

Hi, you can clone prod to dev at any time. If you have made changes to prof you might want to wait 24-48 hours to ensure that your updated are captured, the clone data is not always from 'current' data. Alternately you can XML your changes out if prod and into Dev in real time.

the problem is that when i try to do so it is requesting the user name and password for the non production ( dev )

i am putting the exact same user name : admin

and password

which will successfully make me login to the dev

but it is not working !

thats why i am unable to clone .

how can i XML ? the left side tool bar for example ?

A user name of admin would be unusual in a live production environment. You are trying to clone a production sub-prod instance and not a personal dev instance? The left hand menu has 2 components applications and modules, you would need to XML them separately with applications first as module records are dependant to applications.
